Since a well engineered suspension system centers around correctly engineered springs and shock absorbers, Livermore Performance offers H&R's Cup Kits and Coil Overs to take the guess work out of suspension tuning. Consisting of application specific spring and shock combinations, these kits represent a greater commitment to radical looks and improved handling, but still remain faithful to H&R's street engineered design philosophy.
Coil Over
Engineered for street and occasional track use, H&R Coil-Overs feature a fully-threaded shock body (not an imitation sleeve-over) that allows you to precisely dial in height adjustment to achieve optimum weight transfer, or simply get the aggressive look you've been looking for. Rear Coil-Over Kits: Similar to MM's front coil-over kits, these rear coil-over kits (for 1979-2004 Mustangs) optimize spring location and reduce unsprung weight for improved handling and ride quality. Because converting to coil-overs drastically reduces suspension bind, springs that provide much higher wheel rates than stock can be used without the impact harshness caused by using higher than original equipment spring rates in the stock location.

Unfortunately, we do not offer a rear coil over kit for Tokico shocks. The Tokico shocks cannot handle the additional load that will be applied to it with a coil over conversion. Tokico uses solely what is known as a "friction weld" to attach the bottom mounting eyelet. This method isn't secure enough when supporting the cyclic loading of the full weight of the rear of the car. Bilstein and Koni both use the friction weld as well as an additional weld around the outside of the bottom eyelet. Tokico has no plans to change their attachment method, so if you are looking to install a rear coil over kit, currently Bilstein and Koni are the only options.

Front Coil-Over Kits.

The rear coil-over kit for Bilstein shocks requires the grooving of the shock body. If you are buying your Bilsteins at the same time as your coil-over kit, we can send you grooved shocks with your order.
If you don't have a MM Panhard Bar, you will need to purchase one more MMSM-2 lower shock mount in addition to the one that is included in the package.

MMSM-10 Rear IRS Coil-over Installation Kit - OEM Bilstein Shocks
This installation kit is required to install an MM Rear Coil-over Kit with the Ford OEM 2003-04 Cobra Bilstein shocks. The OEM Cobra Bilstein upper rubber isolator is shorter and softer than the isolator that comes with an aftermarket Bilstein IRS shock. Because of this, the OEM Cobra Bilstein upper rubber isolator prevents the shock's upper retaining nut from being properly tightened when a MM Rear Coil-over Kit is installed. This may cause noise, and can even damage the upper mount for the coil-over kit. Aftermarket Bilstein shocks come with the correct upper rubber isolator, and do not require this installation kit.

Installation kit for MM Rear Coil-over Kits fits the 2003-04 Cobra OEM Bilstein IRS shocks (regardless of what year chassis these shocks are installed in). Kit is for two shocks, and includes the correct upper rubber isolators, thrust washers, and locking nuts.
