MOTOR OIL
Red Line® Synthetic Motor Oil
Red Line’s synthetic motor oils are designed to provide the highest protection, cleanliness and superior drain intervals with the lowest friction for your gasoline, diesel, motorcycle or marine engine. We use the most stable components available and formulate our products for wear protection and friction reduction across a wide range of engine operating conditions. Red Line's products are unique because they contain polyol ester base stocks, the only lubricants which can withstand the tremendous heat of modern jet engines. These synthetics have a natural multigrade property which allows our chemists to avoid bulking up an oil with unnecessary additive packages. |

Red Line® Synthetic Racing Oil
Red Line’s Racing Oils have a global reputation as the ultimate racing lubricant--many teams who have found that the improved performance and equipment durability is the key to winning. Our oils are made with the most thermally stable synthetic base stocks available and provide the best high-temperature lubrication and a higher film strength than any petroleum or synthetic on the market today. Although Red Line racing oils are categorized as “straight grades”, their low-temperature properties make them exceptional multigrades, allowing 2-4% more power than an oil of similar viscosity, while providing much more protection. Each reduction in viscosity grade allows 1-2% more power. To reduce the chance of detonation, our race oils contain very few detergents and are not recommended for street use. |

Engine Break-In Additive - 81403 -
Red Line’s new Engine Oil Break-In Additive (Part #81403, MSRP $12.95) provides conventional motor oils with antiwear additives like zinc and phosphorus (ZDDP) necessary to protect against camshaft and valvetrain damage on break-in.
This is especially important in flat-tappet engines where bigger camshafts grinds and higher valve spring pressures are now popular. This additive is designed to allow pistons rings to seat properly, while allowing other engines components to avoid excessive wear.
A 16oz bottle treats up to 12 quarts of motor oil, so in many cases one bottle can serve two different engines. This product can also be used in conventional and synthetic oils during regular operation, providing an extra package of protection otherwise not found in most motor oils. |

GEAR LUBRICANTS
Red Line® Synthetic Gear Oils
Designed to provide the highest degree of protection and greatest efficiency for your drivetrain. Red Line provides a complete line of drivetrain lubricants which are optimized for differential, transmission, or transaxle use over a wide range of temperatures. Proper selection depends upon the manufacturers' requirements and whether the application is for passenger automotive, commercial, or racing use. Red Line Gear Oils contain polyol ester basestocks to provide excellent lubrication even under extreme conditions of high-loading and high- temperatures--their natural lubricity provide excellent slipperiness which reduces the sliding friction in hypoid gears to reduce wear and temperatures. The synthetic basestocks have a natural multigrade property, so large amounts of unstable thickeners are not required to manufacture our gear oils, which means that Red Line Gear Oils will provide a stable viscosity for even extended periods of use. Red Line also manufactures gear oils which can be used in limited-slip differentials without the use of additional friction modifiers. |
75W80 LightWeight Gear Oil - GL-5 - 50330 - A friction-modified gear oil designed for use where 75W80 GL-5 gear oil is recommended (may be too slippery for some syncros). Used in many motorcycle applications as an alternative to ShockProof types. It has excellent low-temperature flow which allows easier shifting when cold and good synchro compatibility. May be used to obtain maximum power transfer in racing differentials which do not see high temperatures. |
| 75W90 - 50130 - This is the preferred product in nearly all car and light truck differentials, both conventional and limited-slip. 75W90 is preferred for most racing applications. It contains friction modifier which is recommended for limited-slip units. 75W90 Gear Oil can be used in many transmissions and transaxles; however, other Red Line lubricants have better frictional properties for rapid synchronization. Exceeds API GL-5. |
| 70W75 SuperLight Gear Oil GL-5 |
75W140 - GL-5 - 57130 -rated product recommended for street-driven road car differentials where that viscosity is specified, providing excellent performance in both conventional and limited slip units. Popular in late-model Ford truck rear differentials as well as many other common models. |
| 80W140 - 50230 - Generally used in commercial trucks which will climb long, steep grades and some racing applications where power is not critical. Generally 0.5% less efficient than 75W90. Can also be used in differentials and transmissions where excessive noise is a problem and limited-slip differentials which vibrate excessively when turning a corner. Exceeds API GL-5. |
75W90 NS - 50430 - This GL-5-type geal oil doesn't contain the friction modifiers for limited-slip hypoid differentials. This makes the transmission synchronizers come to equal speeds more quickly, allowing faster shifting and much easier low-temperature shifting. Can also be used in racing limited-slip differentials where weak spring design causes too much wheel spin.
| 75W140NS - 57104 - A heavier product what works well over a wide range of loads and temperatures, This GL-5-type geal oil doesn't contain the friction modifiers for limited-slip hypoid differentials. This makes the transmission synchronizers come to equal speeds more quickly, allowing faster shifting and much easier low-temperature shifting. Can also be used in racing limited-slip differentials where weak spring design causes too much wheel spin. |
Limited Slip Friction Modifier - 80301 - Compatible with petroluem or synthetic gear oils, this product will significantly reduce the friction break-in of differentials, reducing break-in temps for as much as 50 degrees F. Limited slip or positraction units will often chatter without use of this product or a gear oil with a similar modifier, so add only enough to eliminate the chatter and avoid making the plates or clutches too slippery. |

Red Line® ShockProof® Gear Oil
A unique lubricant containing a suspension of solid microscopic particles as an extreme pressure agent--unique solid dispersion which cushions gear teeth to help prevent tooth breakage and allows the use of lower viscosities.
Acting like a liquid grease, the viscosity characteristics of ShockProof® allow the lubricants to resist throwoff and provide the protection of a greater film thickness with relatively light fluid viscosity, offering a "best of both worlds" balance of low drag and superior protection.
ShockProof® products work in a variety of differential and transmissions, however, should not be used with pumps, filters, and with small lines--these fluids are designed wet sump or splash type lubrication. |
Superlight ShockProof® - 58431 - A unique product with the viscosity of 75W90 gear oil but lower internal friction similar to that of an ATF. Used when temperatures are not high and when the maximum power output is required such as in stock car qualifying laps.
Used in low-power road racing transxles like Formula Vee and low-power SCCA Production classes (dog-ring type, generally not sycro application where this product can be slippery). |
Heavy ShockProof® - 58430 - A unique lubricant containing a suspension of solid microscopic particles as an extreme pressure agent--unique solid dispersion which cushions gear teeth to help prevent tooth breakage and allows the use of lower viscosities.
Recommended for heavily-loaded racing differentials and transmissions, Off Road racing and problem gearboxes. The viscosity characteristics allow the lubricant to resist throwoff and provide a film thickness similar to a 75W250 grade, while providing the same low fluid friction as an SAE 75W90.
Lightweight ShockProof® - 90230 - A unique gear oil designed to lubricate racing transmissions and transaxles which see serious loads (not recommended for most syncro-type transmissions). It has excellent low-temperature flow which allows easier shifting when cold. May be used to obtain maximum power transfer in racing differentials which do not see high temperatures. Similar to a 75W140 gear oil, but with the lower internal friction of an SAE 30 motor oil.
Used in most road-racing differentials with moderate power and dogring racing transaxles. |

Red Line® Synthetic Manual Transmission Lubricants
Red Line Oil's MTL and MT-90 are designed to provide excellent protection and improved shiftability for manual transmissions and transaxles, having cured the problem of hard shifting in thousands of transmissions with shifting troubles. How? They have the appropriate coefficient of friction for most manual transmission synchronizers (many gear oils, engine oils, and ATFs are too slippery for proper synchro engagement). And, the wide viscosity of MTL and MT-90 allow proper shifting over the entire temperature range which the transmission will experience. The synthetic base oils used have a very high viscosity index which provides relatively constant viscosity as temperature changes. MTL is a low 70W at very low temperatures and a high 80W, nearly an 85W, at elevated temperatures, providing adequate viscosity to prevent wear and deaden gear noise. MT-90 is a thicker 75W90 version of MTL. The shear stability and oxidation stability of these products are excellent, thus the physical characteristics of Red Line MTL and MT-90 will change little with use. |
MTL - 50030 - This 70W80 GL-4 Gear Oil (SAE 5W30/10W30 engine oil viscosity) is designed for use in manual transmissions and transaxles. Provides excellent protection of gears and synchronizers and its balanced slipperiness provides a perfect coefficient of friction, allowing easier shifting. Popular in many BMW transmissions and in most Honda and Acura transaxle applications. |
| MT-90 - 51030 - Popular in Nissan, Toyota and Mazda manual transmissions and transaxles as well as other selected applications, this is a 75W90 GL-4 Gear Oil that’s slightly heavier than MTL. Provides excellent protection of gears and synchronizers and its balanced slipperiness provides a perfect coefficient of friction, allowing easier shifting. |

Red Line® Automatic Transmission Fluid
Red Line Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluids are designed to provide excellent low-temperature shiftability and improved thermal stability over petroleum ATFs. These fluids provide a much lower viscosity at cold temperatures for quicker shifting and their balanced frictional characteristics provide smooth and consistent shifts over extended drain intervals. The superior stability compared to petroleum ATFs also allow high-temperature operation without varnishing valves and clutches, which leads to transmission failure. |
D4 ATF - 30530 - Suitable for use where Dexron III, Dexron II, or Mercon fluids are recommended. D4 ATF is a fully-synthetic product designed to satisfy the improved low-temperature requirements which will be in the new Dexron IV specification, and the improved shear-stability requirements which will be part of the new Mercon specifications.
D4 ATF also provides a GL-4 level of gear protection, making it a superior product for transmissions and transaxles like the Corvette's T-56. The balanced frictional characteristics provide smooth and consistent shifts for extended drain intervals. The superior stability compared to petroleum ATFs allows high-temperature operation without varnishing valves and clutches which leads to transmission failure. It’s stability allows high-temperature operation without varnishing valves and clutches. Also provides improved shifting in cold weather.
D6 ATF- 30730 - Recommended where the latest Dexron-VI is required, as well as where Ford Mercon SP, Toyota WS and Mercedes Benz NAG-2 fluids are specified, Red Line D6 ATF satisfies the requirements for many of the latest automatic transmissions that require consistent, low-viscosity fluids that are shear-stable.
It provides the best low-temperature shiftability in automatic and manual transmissions which require ATFs. Also satisfies API 70W/75W GL-4 gear requirements
• Most shear stable for consistent operation
• Excellent low-temperature shiftability |
C+ ATF- 30630 - Satisfies the performance requirements of Chrysler Types 7176 and ATF+4 (Type 9602), while providing 30% greater operating viscosity, 1/3 the evaporation of petroleum ATFs, and improved oxidation and sludge protection.
Red Line C+ ATF provides the exact frictional characteristics required in the Type 7176 specification, providing proper shift feel and proper lockup torque converter operation. The improved wear protection makes C+ ATF the perfect automatic transmission or transaxle fluid for Chrysler vehicles. |
| Synthetic ATF - 70030 - This product is an approved GM Dexron II, Ford Mercon, and Mercedes Benz Automatic Transmission Fluid and is suitable for GM, late model Ford, or any vehicle which recommends Dexron IID or Dexron IIE or Mercon for refill. Superior stability allows high-temperature operation without varnishing valves and clutches. Also provides improved shifting in cold weather. |
High-Temp ATF - 70230 - Perfect for heavily-loaded vehicles like motor homes and towing applications due to its higher viscosity than our D4 ATF. This is a synthetic ATF for use where Dexron III or Mercon is recommended.
This product provides the gear protection of a GL-4 gear oil in an ATF and provides a higher viscosity at higher operating temperatures, allowing the transmission to operate at 70°F higher temperature and still provide the optimal shiftability and improved torque converter efficiency. |
Racing ATF - 30330 - Designed for use in racing automatic transmissions which need the positive shift of a Type-F automatic transmission fluid, Racing ATF contains no slipperiness additives, producing faster shifts and quicker lock-up, and can reduce elapsed time in drag racing. A higher viscosity compared to conventional Type-F transmission fluids provides higher torque converter efficiency at higher temperatures and the enhanced extreme-pressure protection provides five-times better film strength when compared to petroleum ATFs, reducing gear and clutch wear considerably.
This product can also be used in manual transmissions which require ATFs, providing better gear wear and better shiftability, but Red Line MTL® will provide even better wear protection and shift action. |

FUEL ADDITIVES
Red Line® SI-1 Complete Fuel System Cleaner |
SI-1's injector and valve detergent is a concentrated package of the most powerful high-temperature detergents available to clean gasoline fuel injectors or carburetors, intake valves and combustion chambers and can clean injectors to nearly 100% efficiency in one treatment. The cleansing effect on injector deposits can raise fuel economy approximately 12% or even greater, depending on the condition of the injectors.
SI-1 also contains detergents and a synthetic upper cylinder lubricant which will help clean pollution control valves and can reduce octane requirements by two numbers. SI-1 also protects the fuel system from rust.
Use one bottle with a full tank or use in smaller doses for continued maintenance, as SI-1 treats up to 100 gallons. Safe for continual use. |

Red Line® Diesel Fuel Additives
RED LINE® Diesel Fuel Additives promote better fuel combustion and fuel system lubrication. They provide faster ignition, reduce detonation, reduce smoke, and improve engine efficiency. Extremely powerful high-temperature detergents clean fuel injectors. Lubricants significantly lengthen injector and pump life and reduce ring friction which is very important for today's low-sulfur fuel. Both Red Line Diesel Fuel Catalyst and 85 Plus are available as a winterized version which will reduce the pour point of a typical fuel by 25°F. This diesel fuel additive complies with the federal low sulfur content requirements for use in diesel motor vehicles and nonroad engines. |
Diesel Fuel Catalyst - 10089 - Contains powerful high temperature detergents, lubricants and a combustion catalyst. This catalyst reduces smoke dramatically, reduces detonation, and improves fuel economy 4-8% based on fleet and dyno tests. The lubricants can reduce wear in low sulfur fuel by 75%, prolonging injector and fuel pump life. Corrosion inhibitors will help prevent rust and corrosion. |
85 Plus - 10189 - Designed for use in all diesel engines. Contains extremely powerful lubricants, detergents, seal conditioners, fuel stabilizers and rust preventatives, but without smoke suppressant. Red Line 85 Plus contains additional cetane improvers which boost the fuel 5-9 cetane numbers and additional lubricants which reduce wear in low sulfur fuel by 75%.
This improvement in lubricity and cetane will reduce detonation, assist starting, help reduce smoking, help prevent fuel system wear and leakage and can provide 5% additional power and efficiency. |
RL-2 Diesel Ignition Improver - 70389 - Red Line's most concentrated diesel product for commercial applications, RL-2 Diesel Ignition Improver cleans and lubricates injectors, pumps, and rings while improving efficiency up to 5%.
Only 15oz of RL-2 treats up to 300 gallons, making it a convenient for trucking pros and commercial fleet operators to add one bottle at fill up. Fleet customers and agricultural users add one gallon of RL-2 to treat 2600 gallons or add a 5-gallon pail to treat 13,000 gallons.
A winterized version is also available. Since fuel companies produce different types of less-efficient diesel in colder regions and seasons, Winterized RL-2 uses pour-point reducers to combat these fuel-ecomomy losses and helps to keep the common wax buildup in suspension. It actually reduces the size and structure of the crystals that form in cold weather (in addition to the product benfits of regular RL-2), allowing for fuel to continue to pass through filters and injectors. One gallon treats up to 850 gallons of diesel fuel, while a 5-gallon pail treats 4250 gallons. |

| Red Line® Assembly Lube |
Assembly Lube - Designed to be used a lubricant to apply to potential wear surfaces before assembly in order to prevent metal contact upon startup before adequate lubrication is supplied. Provides three times greater film strength than conventional black Molybdenum Disulfide greases and will not clog oil filters. This product clings to all surfaces and is an excellent rust inhibitor, allowing the storage of parts for years. A thin film of protection is all that is required on mating parts. Red Line Assembly Lube will mix with our motor oil and can be used on all lubricated parts such as cams, followers, pistons, and bearings, and bolt threads. Use only a small amount on bearing and piston surfaces - too much can make it difficult to turn over the engine. Red Line Assembly Lube is an excellent corrosion inhibitor and can be used on machined surfaces to provide long-term corrosion protection. Do not use on exhaust bolts or other high temperature bolts which require an anti-seize. |

| Red Line® Synthetic CV-2 Grease |
Red Line Synthetic CV-2 Grease - Designed to withstand the extreme temperatures and pressures which occur in high-performance wheel bearings and CV-joints. The excellent high-temperature stability, extreme- pressure protection, and water resistance enables it to out-perform even the best conventional or synthetic greases. Red Line CV-2 Grease can be used in a wide range of applications at temperatures ranging between -100°F to 500°F and provides good oxidation and corrosion resistance, low evaporation and oil separation, and has a minimum effect on rubber seals. Possesses a very high melting point, excellent water washout resistance and superior antiwear which makes it excellent for high temperatures and extreme loads. CV-2 contains an organic moly and is for wheel bearings, high angle and conventional CV joints, chassis lubrication and high temperature, high speed industrial equipment. The exceptional extreme- pressure performance and the fluidity of the synthetic oil allows increases in bearing life of 200% to 800%. Red Line CV-2 Grease will retain its consistency and extreme-pressure performance under high- temperature and high-shear conditions for extended periods, which extends the performance ranges of the lubricated components. Red Line CV-2 will darken after high-temperature use; this darkening will not detrimentally effect the performance of the grease. Although Red Line CV-2 is compatible with small amounts of many petroleum-based greases, it is always good lubrication practice to thoroughly clean out the old grease to eliminate abrasive particles and to minimize the possibility of grease incompatibility.
