Chevy Oil Input Sandwich Adapters provide two 1/2" N.P.T. oil input ports, one before filtration (for an external oil pump) and one after filtration (for an Accusump). They mount between the oil filter and block and bolt into the mounting holes left after the bypass is removed. Removing the stock bypass allows the engine to receive filtered oil all the time. The filter is lowered only 1-1/2". The oil filters come with Canton's synthetic fiber filter element that filters down to 8 micron and is ideal for use as a primary filtration filter. The screen filters come with a screen element installed and are ideal for an inspection filter. Both filters feature hosing s made from a light weight 3-1/4" aluminum square extrusion, 1-1/16" -12 straight O-ring ports and a removable top cap that allows for easy and mess free element replacement. Filters have blue anodized bodies and clear anodized end caps. Stainless steel mounting clamp is included. |

Canister oil filters come in two sizes. The taller, 6" filter, can hold more contamination because of it's size and therefore doesn't need to be changed as often. | REPLACEMENT PARTS Synthetic fiber element - The CM filter uses a replaceable depth filtration element, made from woven synthetic fibers. You can compare it to a three dimensional "sponge" rather than the tow dimensional paper element that comes in most of today's filters. This thick three dimensional element contains millions of intertwined passageways that catch contaminants and also provide superior flow characteristics so they don't require a bypass valve. This depth filtration extends filter element life because it can catch far more contaminates without restricting flow. Screen element - Designed for racing and high performance applications, CM screen filters provide general filtration and the ability to easily monitor oil flow for contaminants. This is the best way to prevent minor problems from becoming major ones. CM fine elements (140 mes/180 micron) are recommended for automotive engine applications where filtering all significant particles without restricting flow is needed. CM 25-200 and 25-400 series filters are superior to conventional and other aftermarket spin-on filters. The high strength of the aluminum housing gives you many years of service and the filtering capacity of the replaceable element far exceeds the OEM specification.
