Energy Suspension

Energy Suspension Coil Spring Isolators Coil Spring Isolators
Made of superior HYPER-FLEX™ polyurethane material. Saves replacing again & again, lasting from 3 to 10 times longer than rubber isolators. Assemble to the chassis the same way as O.E.M. isolators. They do not adversely change ride characteristics. Sold in pairs.
Energy Suspension Control Arm Bushings Control Arm Bushings For Front & Rear
On the front of vehicles–they make a dramatic improvement in the way they handle, with quicker steering response and greater vehicle control. Whatever your demands, proper alignment (caster and camber) is better maintained by the use of the correct performance durometer of the bushing's material formulation.

On the rear, these control arm bushings are a must for controlling wheel hop and increasing cornering control for competition uses as well as maintaining alignment on and off-road.

All of Energy's control arm bushings are full-floating and non-binding... especially important when ride height is altered or greater suspension load is required. Most are pre-lubricated. This is especially important for both lowered and raised vehicles that have had drastic suspension geometry modifications. Energy's HYPER-FLEX™ performance polyurethane control arm bushings do not rot or deteriorate from oils or atmospheric conditions such as ozone, smog, road salt, chemicals, and other corrosives. They will not deteriorate in a few short years and cause that mushy, uncertain steering response- like rubber O.E.M. ones often do. Most sets come with zinc plated outer metal shells.
Energy Suspension Leaf Spring Bushings Leaf Spring Bushings
The original factory auto manufacturers are slowly coming around... polyurethane is finally being used for leaf spring bushings.
For high-performance applications, the combination of heavy duty or performance leaf springs and HYPER-FLEX™ performance polyurethane spring bushings deliver the maximum benefit. For lighter-duty leaf springs they add a higher degree of performance and durability. In either situation, you'll immediately feel the difference in positive handling and control!
Many sets come complete with heavy-duty metal sleeves to add to the durability of the set. When applicable, many sets contain Energy's own pre-lube lubricant–for smooth operation of the bushings.
Energy Suspension Motor Mounts Motor Mounts
A true performance application component for cars, trucks, hot rods and racing/competition vehicles–yet designed to be also used for street vehicles!
Soft-running enough to absorb vibrations for street use yet rugged for racing use.
When required- a torque resistant "safety interlock" design is used that is comparable in strength to those too hard-running metal mounts!
Made of HYPER-FLEX™ performance polyurethane.
Resistant to under vehicle fluids such as: oils, coolants, road contaminants, etc.
Energy Suspension Strut Rod Bushings Strut Rod Bushings
With the increased use of higher traction and performance tires on today's vehicles, soft original factory rubber bushings can very often cause the steering axis slant (caster alignment) to excessively and adversely change. This unwanted alignment movement also leads to premature failure of the lower control arm bushings and even excessive tire wear.

During hard "standing start" accelerations, Energy's strut rod bushings help control unwanted steering axis changes, diminishing wheel hop and reducing traction loss. While accomplishing all of this they still allow the suspension to smoothly travel throughout its full operating range, without binding. This is true for either front and rear wheel drive vehicles.

When braking hard, Energy's HYPER-FLEX™ performance polyurethane strut rod bushings help keep the front wheels and lower control arm assembly from literally rolling under the vehicle! Additionally, the exclusive formula HYPER-FLEX™ polyurethane material assures long lasting performance, unlike many O.E.M. rubber bushings.
Energy Suspension Sway Bar Bushings Sway Bar Frame Bushings, Sway Bar End Links and Bushings
Improved handling, low cost, and easy installation are just some of the reasons these components are so popular! Dollar-for-dollar, Energy Suspension's sway bar bushings and end links offer the greatest improvement in performance handling on: cars, trucks and sport utility vehicles.

Working with Energy's HYPER-FLEX™ performance polyurethane Sway Bar End Links (for the vehicle control arms, etc.), HYPER-FLEX™ Sway Bar Bushings (for the vehicle frame) makes the sway bar system much more effective. It does this by the use of increased durometers of the polyurethane bushing components. In effect, it's similar to installing a higher performance, heavier duty sway bar system, but at a fraction of the cost!

Energy's Sway Bar Bushings are available either as Standard or Greaseable Types. Sets come complete with corrosion resistant zinc and gold irradiate-plated strong 3/8" grade 5 bolts, nylon insertlock nuts (to prevent loosening), heavy gauge washers, and mounting brackets.

Additionally, Energy's special formula HYPER-FLEX™ polyurethane material assures long-lasting performance, unlike many O.E.M. rubber components.

These components are very critical to handling of a vehicle. By this very fact, one should definitely consider these components for a great performance upgrade for no matter what you drive!
Energy Suspension Tie Rod Boots Tie Rod Dust Boots
At last it is possible to replace a damaged tie rod dust boot without having the expense of buying an entire new tie rod! (Typically when tie rods are worn, an entirely new tie rod end is need and the additional expense of a suspension alignment is required.)
These exclusively engineered Energy Suspension ® boots resist damage from rocks, sand, water, road salt, and oils better than many other O.E.M. rubber boots.
All boots have a 5 Point Sealing Action, which not only prevents loss of tie rod lubricant but also inhibits contamination (the major cause of rod wear)!
Energy Suspension Ball Joint Boots Ball Joint Boots
Finally, someone has made a replacement ball joint dust boot! No more expense/cost worries when the boot wears-out or is damaged either from installation or from day to day use.
They resist damage from rocks, road salt, sand and water better than many rubber boots.
Sets includes two upper and two lower boots.
Energy Suspension Transmission Mounts
Transmission Mounts
Energy's replacement transmission mounts are the best of both worlds!- Soft enough for street use, yet strong enough for racing or off-road use. The mounts for General Motors® and Ford® vehicles have a unique and patented metal safety locking feature– to effectively control torque! The interlocking feature of the mount gives added confidence against drive train and chassis/frame damage. This feature delivers the extra strength to resist problematic torque forces.

Energy's special formula HYPER-FLEX™ performance polyurethane material that is used assures long-lasting performance, unlike many O.E.M. rubber components.

Note: Bushing are usually available in red or black. For product color add R for red or G for black after each part number.

Front Control Arm Bushings Delrin-Aluminum: Improve your car's handling with Delrin front control arm bushings. Handling is greatly improved by eliminating the deflection and friction of the stock rubber control arm bushings. These Delrin bushings precisely locate the control arms; this maintains the front wheel alignment in a manner that is impossible with the large, compliant stock rubber bushings.
These bushings are offset to move the front control arm pivot points forward by 1/4". This relocation increases positive caster, which in turn lessens the tendency for the outside front tire to move towards positive camber while cornering. The aluminum bushing shells feature grease fittings for lubrication. This bushing design has a steel inner crush sleeve and separate Delrin thrust washers for smooth, quick reacting control arm movement. Recommended for competition cars only because of the difficulty of proper installation. Fits stock control arms only.

Front Steering Rack Bushings, Aluminum: Improve your Mustang's turn-in response by installing Maximum Motorsports steering rack bushings! They Increase the effect of Ackerman steering geometry by moving the steering rack rearward in the chassis and eliminate the steering rack movement allowed by rubber and urethane bushings. These precision-made bushings are CNC machined from heat-treated 6061 aluminum. Maximum Motorsports' research on bumpsteer proved that with a stock K-member, a center drilled bushing is best, whatever the ride height. When large changes in geometry have been made, as with the MM K-member, the correct use of offset steering rack bushings will relocate the rack to a position which makes it easier to correct the bumpsteer with the MM Adjustable Tie-Rod Ends.

Caution: We don't recommend offset rack bushings for stock K-Members...
Offset steering rack bushings move the rack far too much on stock K-Members, and make an acceptable situation far worse than if you had done nothing..

Fits only 1985-2004 Mustang with MM center-drilled aluminum rack bushings, and a stock k-member. This kit may require modifications to older, previously installed MM aluminum rack bushings (MMST-3), and a stock k-member.

Kit includes items in photo, excluding the main aluminum bushings themselves, which are retained from your existing kit. If you want a complete kit with all new parts, purchase the MMST-7 kit.

IRS Delrin Control Arm Bushings, Rear Upper & Lower
Improve the handling and reduce wheel hop of the Cobra IRS with the Maximum Motorsports IRS Delrin Control Arm Bushing Kits. Handling is improved and wheel hop reduced by eliminating the deflection allowed by the stock rubber control arm bushings. These Delrin bushings precisely locate the rear control arms. This maintains rear wheel alignment in a manner that is impossible with the compliant stock rubber bushings. While they provide adequate suspension control, and noise and vibration reduction, rubber bushings cannot accurately position the control arms well enough to achieve maximum performance from the suspension.

A major complaint of IRS owners is wheel hop. The undamped compression of the rubber bushings in the rear suspension is the primary cause of wheel hop. That undamped movement is amplified by repeated loss of traction. Wheel hop occurs because the rear tires continually oscillate between losing and then regaining traction. The extremely soft stock bushings contribute greatly to this oscillation because the rubber compresses easily and then springs back, over and over again. To reduce wheel hop the stock rubber bushings must be eliminated.

Maximum Motorsports

IRS Differential Mounts: Reduce wheel hop by installing stiffer differential mounting bushings. MM offers two types of differential bushings, urethane and aluminum. The urethane bushings are much stiffer than the original rubber, yet are still compliant enough to dampen NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness). The aluminum bushings allow no deflection at all, and therefore do more to reduce wheel hop. The aluminum bushings are designed to provide adjustment of the pinion angle. Properly setting the pinion angle helps keep driveline vibrations to a minimum.

Unlike many others who offer only the front differential bushings, Maximum Motorsports took the time and effort to actually analyze the IRS system. The MM Engineering Team realized that all of the differential bushings must be replaced as a set. The complete set includes the two front bushings and the essential single rear bushing. If only the front bushings are replaced, and the original rubber rear bushing is left in place, a mismatch will be created in the stiffness of the bushing materials. The more rigid front bushings will deflect less, while the remaining rubber rear bushing will still deflect as much as ever. This in turn will increase the stress on the aluminum front mounting ears of the differential housing. The increased stress can lead to fatigue and stress cracking of the aluminum differential housing. Wheel hop will still be prevalent because the rubber rear bushing will deflect and allow the differential to flop around.
Maximum Motorsports Diff Mount IRS Aluminum, Pinion Angle Adjustable, Differential Mounts: MMIRSB-40
* The MM Aluminum Differential Bushing Kit replaces all three stock rubber bushing sets.
* The MM Aluminum bushings allow the pinion angle to be raised by over 4 degrees. This means that the pinion angle can be adjusted to minimize driveline vibrations.
* The MM front differential bushings are comprised of specially machined spherical washer sets. This allows compensation for the changed angle of the differential housing. If these aluminum bushings did not have this feature, the stress on the differential mounting ears and the IRS subframe would be increased.
* Unique to the MM kit is the rear bushing. Overlooked by others, this bushing contributes just as much to reducing wheel hop as the front differential bushings.
* The aluminum bushings are surprisingly unobtrusive. The change in NVH is minimal. There is a slight increase in the noise level from the ring and pinion gears. Changes in vibration and harshness levels are virtually unnoticeable, with the exception of driveline vibrations being reduced due to the corrected pinion angle.
Maximum Motorsports Differential Bushings Urethane Complete Differential Bushing Kit: MMIRSB-45
* The MM Urethane Differential Bushing Kit replaces all three of the stock rubber bushing sets.
* The change in NVH is virtually undetectable.
* The MM three-bushing kit includes tooling to easily remove the stock rubber rear mount from its bracket.
Rear Differential Bushing: MMIRSB-46
If you had previously purchased a front differential bushing (from somebody other than us!), we offer the rear bushing kit with our removal tool to remove the stock rubber bushing from the factory mount. This kit is designed to prevent potential problems or damage to the differential associated with only having stiffer bushings at one end of the differential.
Bushing Removal Tool: MMT-5
This helpful tool which is also included with our IRS Urethane Differential Bushing Kits, allows the simple removal of the stock rubber bushing from the IRS rear differential mount. Reinstalling the urethane is then simple, once the stock rubber is removed.

IRS Subframe Bushings: The polyurethane bushings in this kit are considerably less compliant than the stock rubber IRS subframe bushings. These stiffer bushings virtually eliminate displacement of the IRS subframe relative to the chassis. This reduces wheel hop during acceleration, braking and cornering. You'll feel a big improvement in your car's stability and predictability. Drivers have reported that the improvement is dramatic, similar to installing a Panhard Bar on a solid axle car. The polyurethane still provides very good noise isolation. NEW! Use the MM tool to make bushing removal easier. MMT-6

MMIRSU-2 Urethane IRS Subframe Bushing Kit, 1979-98
This kit is specifically used if installing an IRS into pre-1999 car. The front mounting bolts in earlier cars are smaller diameter, and therefore require a correspondingly sized crush sleeve to prevent subframe movement.

Maximum Motorsports Subframe Bushing Removal Tool MMT-6 IRS Subframe Bushing Removal Tool, 1999-04 Cobra
MM developed this tool to help with the removal of the stock rubber bushings from the IRS subframe. Not only does this tool make the job much easier, it also reduces the time spent removing the stock bushings by at least an hour.
MMF-1 Low Profile IRS Subframe Bolts, pair, 1999-04 Cobra
With some of the larger tire and wheel combinations, the tire's sidewall can contact the head of the rearward IRS subframe-mounting bolt. Increased clearance for larger tires can be had with these low-profile bolts. At .350" tall, this low-profile bolt head and washer is 30% shorter than the .500" height of the factory bolt head. Even if there is some slight contact with the tire's sidewall, the nicely rounded head of this bolt will not damage the sidewall as readily as the sharp-cornered factory bolt head.
Maximum Motorsports Subframe Bolts, Low Profile
NOTE: It has been found that Ford had put the incorrect bolt in the front mounting holes for retaining the IRS subframe on some 2003-04 Cobras. The sleeve in the bushing and hole in the chassis are designed for a 14mm diameter bolt, however many cars had 12mm bolts installed incorrectly from the factory. If you have been noticing noise from the rear suspension, it may be caused by the subframe shifting due to insufficient retention with the smaller bolts. Verify the bolt size installed through the front IRS subframe mounts before ordering. If in doubt, or if you determine you need the larger bolts and corresponding nuts, the OEM replacements are available in this same section. You will need two of each to do both sides.

Maximum Motorsports Rear Upper Controla Arm Bushing Removal Tool Rear Upper Control Arm Bushing Removal Tool makes it much easier to change the rear control arm bushings at the differential. The bushings are a press fit in the differential housing, and are difficult to access. They are especially difficult to change if you are trying to do so without removing the rear axle assembly from your car. MM's unique tool makes this tough job much easier and faster. Zinc plated finish.

Maximum Motorsports Rear Upper Shock Mount Racing Rear Upper Shock Mount
The MM Racing Upper Shock Mount securely locates the top of your shock with a spherical bearing. This eliminates the vertical deflection allowed by the stock rubber mounts. The freedom of movement allowed by the spherical bearings eliminates side loading on the shock shaft. This allows the shock to perform at its peak. MM's mount performs the same task as a rod end on the end of the shock, but does not reduce precious bump travel by trying to fit a rod end under the shock tower. These can be used with or without a coil-over system. Because there is increased noise transmitted into the passenger compartment, and installation of this shock mount is not easily reversible, this product is recommended only for race cars.
